Greetings from the Stoma Team at the Great Western Hospital!

The team has changed significantly over the past year, and we’d like to update the Swindon IA members. After over 50 years working in the NHS and 31 years working in Stoma Care Judy Pullen has now retired. She continues to work in the Hospital as Matron of the Day and supports the Stoma Team. In 2022 the Team welcomed Natasha McCann (Clinical lead) and Stacey Rogers (Specialist Stoma Care Nurse-SSCN). Natasha has a background working in Colorectal Nursing, Tissue Viability and Home TPN and Stacey worked in Oxford as a Deputy Ward sister on the Colorectal Ward and are delighted to join the team. We all look forward to working with the Committee of Swindon IA and seeing how we can best serve our Ostomate population across Wiltshire. The rest of the team includes Kim Walker (SSCN), Kelly Parker (SSCN), Angela Stanley (SSCN), Tanya Skeer (Health Care Assistant) and Tara Davies (Team Administrator). We work Mon-Fri 8am-4pm and run a clinic during these hours. Unfortunately, we do not offer a “walk in service”, however there is an appointment reserved daily for any patient experiencing issues which needs urgent review by one of the Stoma Care Nurses.
